Streaming Media West 2016
For the 12th consecutive year, the top online video experts will gather to share their knowledge and learn about the business, technology and content of online video. SLS, the owner and operator of live streaming platforms, and advisor on online video projects, will also attend the event!

‘Streaming Media West’ will take place on November 1-2, 2016 in Hyatt Regency, Huntington Beach.

For anyone working with video streaming, we have collected 5 reasons to attend:

  1. Speakers
The event lines up an incredible 100 speakers this year who represent the most influential and innovative companies in the industry! Tarek Amara video systems engineer from Twitch, Mark Arana VP of distribution technology from Walt Disney Studios, Jamieson Brettle product manager from Chrome Media/Google, Bill Couch lead web engineer from Periscope and Scott Grizzle manager of sales engineering from UStream will all be there, just to name a few.
  2. Technology
The organisers dedicated the entire day of October 31st to the technology side of the business. Streaming Media University will feature world class experts delivering content rich training sessions. The events will start at 9 am and end around 6:30 pm with a relaxing sunset welcome reception.
  3. Product tests
Although the website doesn’t explicitly state, with prominent exhibitors such as Verizon, Wowza, Panasonic and many more, we can expect to have plenty of opportunities to test new technologies on the expo floor.
  4. Business and content
Streaming Media West provides a unique opportunity to learn more about the business side with workshops on how to create, manage and monetise content.
  5. Networking and fun
Rub shoulders with the best in the video streaming industry, enjoy the welcome receptions and take advantage of the fantastic networking opportunities!
